NC Department of Commerce offers targeted, performance-based incentives that lessen the tax burden and overall costs for businesses. Companies that meet certain requirements can tax advantage of tax credits, sales and use discounts, exemptions and refunds, discretionary programs, and other cost-saving programs.
Chatham County provides incentive grants to new and expanding businesses that meet certain criteria for investment and job creation and retention. Projects are viewed on a case-by-case basis.
