EDC to Attend Raleigh NC Recovery Workshop

June 2, 2009

On Thursday, June 4th, at 1pm, EDC staff will be attending one of Governor Bev Purdue's Recovery Workshops at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh.  Hosted by the Office of Economic Recovery and Investment, this workshop will provide citizens and economic development organizations with an opportunity to hear representatives from the state agencies administering economic recovery funds in North Carolina as they explain what's been happening with the funds thus far, what's coming up, and how to participate in the process.

From Governor Purdue: "I'd like to invite you to attend one of the six recovery workshops that are being held across the state. They are designed to further explain how best to work with the Office of Economic Recovery and Investment to put federal dollars to work in your community. We’ve already visited Winston-Salem, Clyde and Kinston and we will be holding additional workshops in the Charlotte, Raleigh and Wilmington areas very soon."
