North Carolina Department of Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker will be the keynote speaker for the Chatham Economic Development Corporation’s fifth annual Opportunity Chatham, presented by Duke Energy.
The event is October 25, 2013 from 7:30 – 10 a.m. at the Barn at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro. This year’s program will focus on two major economic development projects in Chatham County. The Chatham-Randolph Megasite, a 1,800-acre site near Siler City, is poised to be the state’s first Certified Megasite. Chatham Park, a 7,100-acre live-work-place community in Pittsboro, expects to break ground on its first projects this fall.
Tickets are $30 per person through October 11, after which the price increases to $35. Tickets can be purchased online here or by mailing a check with the names of attendees to Chatham Economic Development Corporation, P.O. Box 1627, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
