Changes were recently approved to a large residential development in Chatham County that will bring nearly 800 homes to the fast-growing community.

Parks at Meadowview sits just south of the Chapel Ridge development off of N.C. Highway 87 about seven miles northwest of downtown Pittsboro. The development includes plans for 788 homes built across 948 acres.

Parks at Meadowview has been nearly two decades in the making. The development was originally approved back in 2005, and in 2006 changes were made to increase the development to 739 lots. Today, there are 172 lots existing on site as part of phase one of the project, according to Chatham County documents.
