SILER CITY, NC – December 17, 2018 – The North Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (RIA) approved a $235,000 grant request for the Town of Siler City to support renovations of a 76,000-square-foot industrial building.

A.D. Tubi USA will manufacture welded tubes made of stainless steel, nickel alloys and titanium at the facility, which has been vacant since late 2017. The company will invest more than $6 million and anticipates creating 19 jobs with its project. This is the first North American manufacturing operation for the company, which is headquartered in Italy.

The funding is approved under the state’s Building Reuse Program, which provides grants to local governments to renovate vacant buildings, renovate and/or expand buildings occupied by existing North Carolina companies, and renovate, expand or construct health care facilities that will lead to the creation of new jobs in Tier 1 and Tier 2 counties and in rural census tracts of Tier 3 counties.

The Town of Siler City approved an incentives request for the company in October 2018. The company anticipates to begin operations in early 2019.
