VinFast has sent its second batch of vehicles to North America.

The Vietnamese automaker, which recently pushed back the opening of its factory in Chatham County, said Monday that the Silver Queen cargo ship has left the port in Haiphong, Vietnam, and will spend 20 days at sea before delivering 1,098 vehicles to the U.S. and then another 781 to Canada.

The total shipment, consisting of 1,879 vehicles, is made up of VF 8s, the company’s five-seater SUV starting at $49,000. It’s the first standard batch of VF 8s making its way out of Vietnam, as the first tranche of VF 8s were the City Edition, which were delivered to customers in March.
