SILER CITY, NC – Floorazzo, a pre-cast terrazzo tile manufacturer in Siler City, has announced an expansion that will create 12 new jobs and invest $2 million.

Construction has begun on a new 20,000 square foot building that will house their entire operation located on Harold Andrews Road in Siler City. Floorazzo plans to double its production of prefabricated tiles by hiring a second shift that will provide well-paying technical manufacturing jobs.

Floorazzo will begin operating in the building in early 2020 following the completion of construction and expects to reach full operating capacity in June. Led by company owner John Sich, Floorazzo produces an easy-to-use tile with the natural beauty and durability of terrazzo tile, using pieces of marble, glass and stone.

Floorazzo is “a little American manufacturing company that made it,” Sich said.

Clients of the company include Johns Hopkins hospitals, the John Wentworth Cancer Center in Chicago, Illinois, as well as school systems and military bases across the country.

Chatham Economic Development Corporation worked with Floorazzo to navigate the expansion process, including providing assistance in identifying a new location, coordinating with Central Carolina Community College on trainings for new employees, connecting them with resources to enter international markets, and support during permitting and town processes.
