The megasite corridor between Winston-Salem and Fayetteville, branded as the Carolina Core, will now have a more united identity to help economic development efforts.

The Piedmont Triad Partnership announced the regional brand at the Wyndham Champions Breakfast Aug. 16 at an event attended by business and economic development leaders and high-ranking public officials – High Point University President Nido Qubein; N.C. Senate leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham); and state Commerce Secretary Tony Copeland.

The Carolina Core is an area stretching from Winston-Salem to Fayetteville that includes four megasites, including the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite and the Chatham Advanced Manufacturing Megasite. The core also includes 30 universities and colleges, airports, railroads and industrial and commercial parks.
